Hi! My name is Mackenzie. This is what I look like.

I have been owning rats for just over 3 years, and I absolutely adore my job as a little rat-mummy. I currently own three female rats, named Dior, Chanel and Versace.

Other facts about me:

• I live in British Columbia, Canada.
• I am a mixture of Australian, Norwegian, Canadian, Hungarian, Scottish, Irish and British blood.
• I have never owned a male rat.
• The first rat I ever owned was a champagne-hooded female named Isabella.
• The oldest rat I ever owned lived to be just over 4 years old. I adopted her when she was roughly 1 1/2.
• I’m a drama major.
• I ride horses.
• I own 5 dogs, 3 rats, 2 rabbits, 2 cats and a horse.
• I’m a vegan.
• My favorite color is pink.

So, don’t be shy. Say hello! I’m always ready to offer advice (rat-related or not) or answer any questions you might have. Also, don’t be afraid to go submit any photos, videos or stories of your rats :)

Hello! I’m Lauren. :) AKA Peacefulwings and Rattygalileo.

I recently adopted my first rat, Galileo, in December 2011 and he is the best Christmas gift I’ve ever given myself. He’s an adorable little guy, super curious and lovable as hell. <3 

I’m currently 23 years old and living in Syracuse, New York. Having just relocated after graduating from SUNY Potsdam with a B.A. in Theatre.

However, I am returning to College after a one-year hiatus to get a second bachelors degree, this time a B.S. in Medical Imaging. :)

Some other things about me:

• I also have a dog, Milo, who is a Bichon Frise/ Yorkshire Terrier mix. 
• I’m not a natural red-head, but that’s between you and I. ;)
• I am 5’0” tall.

I’m looking forward to posting my favorite rats and answering any questions.
